Soprano Mariana Flores studied at the National University of Cuyo in Argentina and at the Schola Cantorum Basliliensis. A passionate interpreter of the Baroque repertoire, she has collaborated with artists such as Christina Pluhar, Teodor Currentzis, John Eliot Gardiner and Leonardo Garc\u00eda-Alarc\u00f3n.<\/p>

She performs on the greatest international stages (Op\u00e9ra de Paris, Grand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Gen\u00e8ve, Op\u00e9ra Royal de Versailles, etc.) in major opera productions, as well as in large-scale concerts and recitals. She sings regularly with the ensemble Cappella Mediterranea, with whom she has the opportunity to blend baroque music with traditional Argentine repertoire.<\/p>

She has made a number of award-winning recordings, including d'India's \u2018Lamenti & Sospiri\u2019 in 2021, Monteverdi's \u2018L'Orfeo\u2019 and in 2022 the release of Scarlatti's La Finta pazza<\/em> before the resumption of a European tour of this opera, in which she triumphed in the title role in 2019. In 2023 Alfonsina<\/em>, a highly personal album of Argentinian folk songs that she recorded with Quito Gato, a repertoire that has been on concert tour ever since.<\/p>

More recently she has been featured in Amore Siciliano,<\/em> an emblematic programme by Cappella Mediterranea released by Alpha which will continue to be broadcast in 2025, or the Handel's Dixit dominus<\/em> , and the Colonna's Mass in E minor<\/em> on the Ricercar label.<\/p>

In 2024, Mariana Flores returned to the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence as Amore and Minerva in Monteverdi's Il Ritorno d\u2019Ulisse in Patria<\/em> directed by Pierre Audi, before taking part in Seasons<\/em>, a Fabrice Murgia's audacious creation at the Cit\u00e9 Bleue, combining film, theatre and song, in which she performs both Baroque and contemporary pop music.<\/p>

In November and December, she sang the Bach's Mass in E minor <\/em>in an international tour of Canada and Brazil, which she will reprise in summer 2025 at the prestigious Verbier Festival.<\/p>

Mariana Flores' artistic season in 2025 will be rich and very international with the revival of the musical theatre creation Amour \u00e0 Mort<\/em> directed by Jean-Yves Ruf at the Op\u00e9ra national de Lorraine, Monteverdi's L\u2019Incoronazione di Poppea<\/em> in concert in Germany, Canada and New York, Cavalli's\u00a0 Pompeo Magno <\/em>premiered at the Bayreuth Festival and then toured, the Mozart's Requiem<\/em> at the Radio France Auditorium, and numerous recitals throughout Europe.<\/p>

Together with lute-player and guitarist M\u00f3nica Pustilnik, she is preparing the recording of \u2019\u00a0Muse e Sirene\u00a0<\/em>\u2018a programme focusing on women composers of the 17th century.e<\/sup> si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
